Pre-Owned & Resale

Rules for selling pre-owned, second-hand, refurbished, and vintage goods including authentication requirements, condition grading, and IP restrictions.

Luxury and branded pre-owned items must be authenticatedCondition grading (new, like-new, good, fair) must be accurateCounterfeit pre-owned goods are prohibited regardless of disclosure

What this covers

Pre-owned luxury goods — bags, watches, jewelry — require verified authentication documentation before listing; claiming "authentic" without a credible source or COA is treated as a misleading claim, not just an oversight. Condition grading (new, like-new, good, fair) must accurately reflect the item's actual state — misrepresenting condition is a listing violation that can result in removal and refund enforcement by TikTok Shop. Counterfeit pre-owned goods are prohibited regardless of how they're priced or described; "inspired by" and "replica" framing do not make a counterfeit item eligible for sale.
