UL or equivalent safety listing for mains-powered appliancesEnergy Star or efficiency labeling requirementsAccurate wattage, voltage, and compatibility specs in listings

What this covers

Mains-powered kitchen and home appliances must carry a recognized safety listing — UL, ETL, or equivalent — before they can be listed on TikTok Shop, and appliances without certification are removed, not warned. Energy Star labeling claims require actual certification; listing a product as Energy Star compliant without it is treated as a false marketing claim. Accurate wattage, voltage, and compatibility specs are mandatory in listings — misrepresentation of electrical specs is a listing violation even when the product itself meets safety standards.
