Rules for selling CBD, hemp, and cannabidiol products including platform restrictions, THC limits, and regulatory compliance requirements.
What this covers
CBD products are either prohibited or heavily restricted on TikTok Shop in most markets — even hemp-derived CBD that is federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill must meet platform eligibility requirements before listing, and most CBD listings are removed on submission. Hemp products that don't contain CBD (hemp clothing, hemp seeds, hemp oil for cooking) are generally eligible, but any product that mentions cannabidiol, CBD, or cannabis-related terms in the title, description, or images will be treated as a CBD product and removed. Health claims on any hemp product — "relieves anxiety," "reduces inflammation" — are an additional compliance layer that applies on top of category eligibility.
