Summary
New appeal process for SFCR enforcements: max 2 appeals per enforcement, initial appeal within 30 days, second appeal within 15 days of rejection. Auto-cancelled orders from severe violations are non-appealable.
Why it matters
Sellers now face strict appeal deadlines and limited recourse for SFCR violations. Missing the 30-day window or 15-day window eliminates appeal rights entirely. Non-appealable auto-cancellations from severe violations reduce merchant options for contesting enforcement.
Recommended action
Audit current SFCR enforcement cases and note the appeal deadlines immediately. Establish internal process to track enforcement message dates and set reminders for 30-day initial appeal window and 15-day secondary window to preserve rights.
Each SFCR enforcement can only be appealed twice.
Initial appeal must be submitted within 30 days of the enforcement message. If the first appeal is unsuccessful, the second appeal must be submitted within 15 days of initial appeal rejection.
Auto-cancelled orders resulting from severe account violations cannot be appealed. Please approach Customer Service for support.
